Chief Financial Officer
Howard Markowitz joined Wheat Capital in 2016 and serves as the Chief Financial Officer. In this role, Mr. Markowitz’s primary objective is to ensure that the Technology, Accounting, and Reporting Systems are brought up to the level required to facilitate the anticipated growth. Mr. Markowitz has 36 years of experience in both public and private accounting, beginning his career with a “Big 8” Public Accounting firm in both their Auditing and Tax departments.
In addition, Mr. Markowitz has managed the South Florida Management Consulting practice of a National Certified Public Accountant Firm. He is an experienced Chief Financial Officer and Chief Information Officer having overseen large Accounting and Information Technology Departments. He was involved in automating, streamlining, and managing processes with hundreds of thousands of transactions per month. He has background in the Strategic Planning of Systems and Processes as well as hands-on knowledge in corporate operations including Technology, Accounting and Human Resources. He is especially skilled at analyzing and mining data to determine results of projects and campaigns and direction for strategic planning. Mr. Markowitz is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Florida. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Markowitz received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Florida.
